Unleash your creativity this festive season and design your own unique Christmas cards using the traditional art of linocut printing with Vicki Rutter the creator behind Vicki Rutter Art. With a focus on hands-on learning and experimentation, Vicki’s teaching approach encourages students to explore their creativity in a supportive and vibrant environment.
What you’ll learn:
- How to design, carve, and print your own linocut block.
- Essential techniques for using linocut tools and ink.
- Create handmade Christmas cards to share with friends and family.
All materials will be provided, and you’ll leave with a set of your own printed cards and the skills to continue linocutting at home.
About the instructor:
Vicki Rutter is the creator behind Vicki Rutter Art, bringing her creative expertise to a wide range of artistic media. With a degree in Furniture Design from the University of the Creative Arts and extensive experience as a prop and model maker, Vicki's artistic journey is rooted in craftsmanship and innovation.
Her passion for learning new skills fuels her ability to introduce fresh and dynamic techniques in her work. Currently focusing on printmaking, she also
explores the art of bookmaking and creates whimsical needle-felt creatures, bringing a playful and imaginative spirit to her practice.
Vicki’s courses at Colne Road Studios in Twickenham are thoughtfully designed for artists at all levels.

Yes, at the moment the courses at Colne Road Studios are designed for adults over the age of 18 . The aim is to create a relaxed environment, provide a bit of an escape and switch off from every day responsibilites. We are not able to accommodate children in our classes, nor do we provide children’s classes at this time.
All of our longer courses are exchangeable up until 28 days prior to the start of the course. After this, you are able to change your booking to a different course for a £20 admin fee. Please note that from 14 days prior to the start of the course, your booking is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Our refund policy is strict because it enables us to pay ourselves and our tutors a fair wage, and remain accessible as a studio. Every time we are asked to to accommodate a refund request , we would be forced to lower our staff wages or increase our prices – both of which we really want to avoid. We hope you understand that this is why there are no exemptions to our refund policies.
